Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My GF and I both ride old-school Visions.. I'm looking to upgrade to a dual 26" wheel SWB setup..

The trelis frame on the RANS is mostly marketing. That being said the Force 5 is a nice bike. I think you will like the big wheels they do roll better.

Great smiles! One can see that you are enjoying the ride.

Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to ride to any interesting places, as most of my riding is commuting to work/running errands. That coupled with a physically demanding job leaves me exhausted during the little time I have off from work. I want to take my Univega on a mini-tour in the Spring, assuming I have the energy.

How many tubes do you need botto. California, I always found has lots of debris on the road surface. You apparently need more tubes than water bottles. I have always been able to chuck at least two tubes in my wedge.

Botto. An extra tire. Were you doing some longer distance kind of riding? Nice bike. Looks like you climbed the the Sierra's on a double crank. You climbed the col d' Aubisque. Not too far from where we are hanging about. Ever get in the neighborhood, bring a bike.

That's a good slogan. You should sell that to BF. It's got a nice ring to it. Are you in marketing?

Top of 400 metre 20-25% gradient. Breathing out of my a*se, taking a picture of my mate. Surprised I got the camera so still, my hands were shaking like a sh*tting dog...

I love this effect. Great shot! The panelled Lemonds have to be one of my favorite looking bikes ever.

Here's an easy way to do it in photoshop with any image:
•SELECT>COLOR RANGE
•Use the eyedropper and select a color (click on the purest you can, for this I would have selected the orange frame), then play with the 'fuzziness' bar for sensitivity, hit OK
•Invert Selection
•Desaturate (dumb way) OR Create New Layer, Fill with pure black (filling the selection from before), set transperency to 'color', which will desaturate everything besides the color you selected.
•You can also add an adjustment layer, and mask it with this selection, to edit the color, b&w, or both.

It isn't that dangerous so I doubt they worry. You have to get a pass to ride some of the roads and they make you watch a video on what to do if you come up on unexploded munitions hehe
