Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Saddle With Long Rails...

As a follow up to my geometry question which puts me 1.24 cm further back on a 73 degree seat tube vs. a 74 degree seat tube...

Which saddles have long rails...

I use a non-setback seatpost with a Fizik Arione and still have the saddle almost all the way forward on my 74 degree seat tube...

Is there a saddle with longer rails that can get me further forward or is there a seatpost with a smaller clamp that can do the same job....

***I edited after Dubbayoo to include the Arione...

Why do you need to be that far forward?

answer - Fizik Arione.

I don't know why I need to be so far forward....

I have a long inseam 32.13" (81.6 cm) but I am only 5' 7" (170.2 cm)...

I ride at KOPS...

If I get to far behind, I develop knee pain...

I guess I have long tibia and short femurs...

Are you looking at a Cervelo? I'm not aware of any other frames in your size that would have a 73 ST. They don't vary angles with size, which I don't really get. It must save them money, although with the prices they charge...

Sorry but the Arione has some of the longest rails out there. Maybe you need a custom frame if with zero setback and an Arione all the way forward on a 73* frame is still not far enough forward.

Maybe get a setback post and turn it around.

My guess is you're going with a 54-56cm frame to accommodate your legs. I would stick to a 52cm and run a longer post. You can easily find 74.5 degree ST's in a 52cm. That would move you not quite 2cm forward of a 73 degree.

How do they do that do that and still fit the rear wheel?

Yes, a Cervelo...

I ordered a RS a couple of months ago but it will not be delivered until March...

I guess I should have tested one but the closest dealer is about an hour and change away...

If it doesn't fit...

Keep your eye open for new Cervelo for sale...

Worse comes to worse you can flip a set back seatpost around so the setback is setforward.
