whatd you get for christmas?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I got myself a Ultimate Workstand....then from the family I got some undershirts and boxers....the movie "300" on DVD....some cologne....a nice LL Bean shirt for work...a knife sharpener...and a neat "Dad" ornament from my little boy....and had the entire wife's family over for lunch...I cooked a 17lb turkey, gravy, stuffing, sweet potato casserole and tons of finger food...we had an absolutely joyous day filled with smiles and laughter....my 3 year old loved his presents from Santa...and my big present is my wife is letting me go visit my family in Philly for 5 days while she stays home with the dude....my two daughters are going to Hawaii with my in-laws tomorrow.....this was a GREAT Christmas, I'm truly blessed.

My wife gave me the green light on a power meter, but we have plenty of other things to use the money for. I am keeping the LiveStrong jersey and socks. Really lucky to have such an awesome wife, although she didn't go for the bike shop setup posted earlier.

No, I've been bad. VERY bad. Blonduathlongrl has to punish me now.

She can whip me with the PowerTap HR Monitor strap while simultaneously gnawing at the suspenders of my racing bib with her teeth.

I don't perpetuate sexual harassment @ my company, I can only do it here.

I made out like a bandit!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a Selle Italia SLK Gel Flow Saddle, a couple Topeak frame pumps, Speedplay Frog pedals, and two jerseys. The jerseys are funny, one has Poseur, and the other has Republic of Anaerobia. They are funny, but they are gorgeous. I like tongue in cheek humor anyway.

I've been working on paying off a mountain bike I've had in layaway at my LBS. So after working a whole lot of overtime this month, I should be able to get it tomorrow. Sort of a belated present for myself.

Take care everyone,

Ray

+1. I bought three used 404's for myself - two rear, one front. Other than that I got a Spinervals 14.0 DVD, some red Adidas shoes I've been wanting, a really nice Cuisinart grill and some Under Armour workout gear.

This is the first year biking, well 7 months. I got a park tool I didn't know it came with a chain break tool so that made me a little bit excited. I got brushes and a bike stand, one of the $30 ones that does the trick not the spendy ones. I also got a pump for both kinds of valves :-). A battery recharger that recharges batteries in 15 mins!! Needed it for my numerous lights. I also got an unexpected gift which was a camelbak :-) I was going to get one in may but now that I got one I'm falling in love with it! Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope all of your christmases were as good as mine. I am beginning to appreceate everything though, I am happy to have food in my stomach, roof over my head and clothes on my back. I think of life this way when I'm having a bad day, there is always someone who is worse off.

Hey!!! Nice Y-Foil there (the red one way back there on the floor). I got a gold one that is soon to be finished! It seems that you haven't had much time to build up all of the bikes!!!!
