That's botto with a b
Not a 'B'. Just sayin'.
What does this have to do with road cycling? When it comes to road cycling on BF, botto knows more than half of you BF pinfreds combined. So have some Respect. I mean respect.

I wonder what direction this thread will go.

Much of botto's velo saavy comes from his years in the NY City peloton. Nobody is more knowledgeable (or jaded) than the NYC peloton. Nothing tops a slow motion dominos crash @ 40mph as you approach the Prospect Park Sprint Bottleneck at the base of the final descent before the start/finish in Brooklyn. As long as it misses your back wheel by at least 12" I mean.
Plus, where else can you get a Ganga Contact High @ 7AM on a Sunday morning like that upgrade after the start/finish in Prospect Park? And you get it @ 24mph too.

Obscure TV references 101.
The first person to name the show that one came from wins, well, nothing actually. Maybe some respect, but if you actually know the show in question well enough, I doubt anyone will respect you.

In a effort to get this back to pcad's original topic and answer your question: the show was "botto knows best".

Pcad,
When was this crash you speak of? I ride there all of the time, and it's safe enough (I guess).

Actually Prospect is considerably safer than Central Park. Last year in March the Spring Series races in Manhattan were friggin crashfests bar none. Ooofaaa. Let's hope they paved that stupid road this year. 2007 was Potholes in the Dark.
By the way that crash I describe was c. 1997 or so, and it was by far the worst crash I ever saw in Prospect. Missed me by a foot. A couple of guys went off in ambulances after that.

Unfortunately Killer Penguin is not 'alleged'. He and his 22 year old Cat 2 Waiting to Happen VO2 Max are all too frighteningly real.
