Anyone using Power Cordz?
Specifically on Campy? Sure it's a grand excess in something simple, but nevertheless I'm curious. Power Cordz by DuPont.

I've been toying with the idea of getting some myself. Maybe it's just that ridiculous upgrade bug.

The question is: is it better than Nokon? Someone had those at interbike and they were nice. I don't know if they justify the price though.

Installation seems to be a bit laborious...
...and you only save 30 grams? Seems to be an answer to a question not asked...

Ride it like you stole it
Had them and dumped them, more tedious to install than Nokons. I will never buy them again.

Thanx Waldo. Reading their tech stuff a bit further I was certainly getting the fussy vibe. After trying Aztec Powerlines on my hardtail (bad, bad idea), Perhaps I'll quell my interest is such fluff.

Besides being hard to install, I believe they are the only non-edible bike product that has an expiration date printed right on the package.

You think cables suck, just wait until your batteries go dead...
Gore cables were/are hard to setup/install and really didn't improve shifting performance. Sure, it's a sealed system, but once ANYTHING got into them , they just sucked.

I don't carry too much about the weight savings, the fact they are noncorrosive is enough to interest me.

It is, but for them money I've had remarkable results with Jagwire cables on pretty much everything.

Here? Written.
I've had success equal to the Campy bits using them, which is to say they work great for 1/3 the cost.

I have Jaguar sealed cables on my mountain bike and it shifts awesome now. I had an issue with XTR (Shimano top of the line off-road) cables with shifting properly. Once I put these on, no problems shifting at all. *knocks firmly on wood*
Of course on my road bike, I haven't had any issues with my Campy stuff yet. I would consider these for any bike now though. Look like standard cables and not very expensive either, IIRC.
