Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Anyone know the claimed weight of the 2006 Specialized S-Works Tarmac?

Frame and Fork?

I can't find a damn thing on the internet.

Thanks y'all!

It is the same as the 05 if that helps you at all. Its kinda on the heavy side (around 1100 grams?) but I love the frame

i'm on it right now on loan from a teammate. i'm actually really impressed with it's ride in comparison to the 07 tarmac SL. super smooth, can't make the BB budge and rides lighter than it is...

if it's under 1200grams i'm usually happy. light bikes are nice, but if it accelerates hard no matter what the scenario...i'm chipper about it

My 08 s-works tarmac, 54cm, frame, fork, headset, seat clamp and 4-cage bolts = 1519.5g. Frame only, i.e. seat clamp, 4 bolts and frame = 1056g, fork = 370g

If it is a plain '06 S-Works Tarmac, which were made out of 8r carbon (as opposed to the S-Works Tarmac "SL" made out of 10r carbon), then that frame went on to became the Tarmac Pro model for both the '07 and '08 model years. So if you can find out what a '07 or an '08 Tarmac Pro frame weighs, you should have your answer to what that '06 S Works Tarmac frame weighs.

If it is an '06 S-Works Tarmac "SL" frame, then I suspect you are riding the same frame as azdroptop above, and your frame weight would be pretty much the same as his. Just my best opinion!

If you find out what that frame and fork weighs, I would be interested in the answer as well.

You find the ride a bit smoother than the SL?
