As another proud Talon SL owner, those photos are seriously graphic.

It is very cool that you are still around to post the thread.
Get medically checked out. Things are sometimes not as clear as they first seem.

Good point. The adrenaline of the moment can sometimes mask problems.

Pretty much the same thing happened to me a little less then a year ago. I was on a brand new 2007 Tarmac Pro (less then 150 miles) when I was going down a bridge with a dangerous intersection right at the bottom. I made it through the intersection and thought I was all clear, but about 100 yards after, a SUV pulled out in front of me, and I smacked into it at about 35mph. I was fine but it popped the head tube off and split the fork. Oddly enough the front ksyium wheel was fine....

At my better half's insistence, I did make it to the ER after a night of pain. Worst injury is a strained pectoral muscle.
Two things:
1) the Kysrium SL's are absolutely bomb proof. Don't forget, the wheel hit first, and it transferred the energy back to the frame before I personally hit the car/window.
2) the merit of a carbon frame, after seeing these photos, cannot be overstated. The carbon took the load, absorbed the energy, and then broke...probably saving me from more significant injuries. Not unlike a modern race car carbon tub.
Now, this is all a mildly eductated lay man's analysis, but I'm happy I was on that bike.
