Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Looking for buying advice: Felt F80

I found a road bike in my price range, and it seems pretty good to me. What do you guys think, obviously taking the price into account.

The bike is a 2005 Felt F80 with around 3000 miles, tires have low miles (around 100), has a new chain and has been stored indoors (all according to the seller, of course). He's asking $500: https://corvallis.craigslist.org/bik/553425327.html

I'm going to go look at it sometime tomorrow, but I'd like some feedback. Does this seem like a good deal, and is this a fairly good bike? I'm not really familiar with Felts, so just a bit curious. Anything specific I should look for when I go take a look at it?

Thanks for any advice you can give me :-).

I owned an F80. It's a great bike. I let it go for a CAAD9 as I got more serious about racing.

$500 is a ripoff. I got a brand new 2006 model (back in 2006) for $700.
