custom framebuilder directory ?
Anyone know of a directory of custom road framebuilders that includes geography??
I tried the search (and google) but no good results...the only directories I found were long listings which were not grouped by geography.
I am thinking of getting a road frame built and prefer to find someone close to me (philadelphia area)....I know of Kellogg/Spectrum and also found Elite Bicycles in Philly....but would also like to investigate other options before making a decision. Cost is an issue, btw.
Any suggestions?

I think you need a confluence of data. Google Earth + Garmin + Bicycle Yellow Pages + Blackberry. Are you looking at a 1 mile radius from your home?
Sorry, I couldn't resist. Bro, immediate geography shouldn't be your discriminator. Cost, custom options and timing are a higher priority to most when it comes to something as specialized as choosing a frame builder. Good Luck.

Apologies not necessary here on BF. I am hoping to find options (other than those in the OP) within 30-50 miles of philly.

Thanks, I had already seen this one. It's an incomplete directory though. Here is the cut/paste from the site:
"The only requirement for custom bicycle builders or custom frame builders to be listed on this site
is that they will use Henry James components and/or True Temper Bicycle Tubing"
And the only builder they have listed for Pennsylvania is Spectrum. Spectrum is well known. I would even consider getting one (if funds are available)....I am interested in exploring other options though.
