2008 Pedal Force frame
I just did the group buy on one and was wondering what people could tell me about the frame. I've never seen one up close but a pic of a Tarmac frame look similar to the PF bike. What's the scoop on the frame.

It's new. It's in a group buy. It comes painted if you wanted.
Specs are available on the PedalForce website.
The Tarmac looks NOTHING like the Pedal Force RS (if that is what you are referring to).

I already paid my down payment on the GB. Just didn't know much about the new frame other than 20 freaking pages of people asking what size to ride. JEEZ....it isn't rocket science.

It is a Carbon Fiber frame. It is light weight, at certain sizes, it will be sub 1kg (frame only, no fork).
It is laterally stiff, yet vertically compliant.
It has a lot of monikers and acronyms applied to it, such as FACT, which not only gesture towards the marketing hype of other bicycle manufacturers (read: Specialized), but really, there's nothing shockingly innovative. Same with the other ones.
RS would probably have something to do with "race" something... or something.
Owners of the previous version of the RS seem quite happy, yet their frame is NOT this frame.
It challenged a De Rosa on being curvy, but lost.
It looks NOTHING like a Tarmac.
It comes in Red/Black or Carbon Weev.

It's also not rocket science to read the threads from the previous PF group buys.

Ride it like you stole it
Actually TQ, I wouldn't call them unorthodox, more like untraditional.

It's a "sloping" frame- and an aggressive sloping one at that, because of the extra downward curve at the seatpost.
That 52 cm "traditional style" seat-tube measurement sizing becomes completely moot with sloping frames. **
Besides, there are very few, if any, traditional (ie. non-sloping), 52cm-sized frames with a 73.5* angle seat tube (as is the case with the RS2 52cm frame).
**In hindsight, PF could've spared many BFrs perplexment, by re-naming their frames xxs, xs, s, m, l, xl etc., similar to Giant.

Sweet! An internet dick measuring contest! I think i've got this one in the bag...except it wont fit.
Lets see here where to start?
Translation: There were a lot of people concerned about frame size. What a bunch of morons, it isn't rocket science!
Reality:
As an aside, well we have a moment
Actualy WW, i wouldn't call it comparing apples to oranges, it's more like comparing sweet orange sphere covered thingies to somewhat sphere like less delightful red thingies.
Anyways, i think what i stated in my previously quoted post was that the frame is not of a traditional shape. Therefore, the majority of people are going to be a little confused initially at what size we need to buy.
Shoot, i'm sorry i'm such an idiot, how dare i not recognize that this frame is not "traditional". Wait a second...no no no...i think i did say that? Ahhh shoot, now i'm just sorry you forgot how to read, or chose not to because you were in such a hurry to show everyone how big your internet dick is. Congrats, it is by far the largest internet dick i've seen all day. Someone needs to fill the Ryanf gap afterall
Lets see here where to start?

Sheesh, you still don't understand that it's NOT a traditional (ie. level top-tube / non-sloping) 52 cm frame, matched to a 55 cm top-tube?
It's a "sloping" frame- and an aggressive sloping one at that!
That 52 cm "classic" seat-tube measurement sizing becomes completely moot with sloping frames.

Either you're a babbling, incoherent dyslexic, or a pretty frustrated loner because of some deep-rooted, phallic-related, insufficiency Freudian issues. At least you seem to have got the "Idiot self-labeling" part down pat.
Now go wash your mouth out with lots of soap, then back into The Library to write out 10,000 lines of "I shall not use profanity on BikeForums".

If you're framiliar with compact frames the RS2 is not that unusual. In fact its geometry is very similar to the Giant TCR comp series (52cm RS2 is close to the giant medium)!

Fortunately myself and others stated many times in that thread that we weren't familiar with compact geometry. Apparently that makes one a moron

Nah, nothing like that. Just a deep rooted interest in the deep-rooted, phalic-related, insufficiency Freudian issues that are inherent to message boards. You know, elitism, or perhaps "look how superior i am to everyoneism"...typical road forum babble...

It's called a sloping TT junior. Lemond, Specialized, and now even Trek has it. I'm sure I missed many more.
Actually the slope of this frame's TT is LESS than my Lemond 57cm. My seat tube is I think 52cm on that bike.
Maybe if you were reading something besides a 1986 copy of bicycling magazine you would freak out so much about "weird" geometry that unfortunately for some is becoming "the standard".
go compare it to 2007 and 2008 madone frame.
