There was a discussion on this late last year if I remember correctly. Try running some searchs. I'll post if I find it.

Why shave to begin with...
Without searching previous threads, I think it boils down to why anyone shaves to begin with. Personally, I do it to aid recovery massage, and in the event that I go down and have to clean blood/road rash...much easier without bloody, matted hair to deal with as well. From a feel standpoint, I like shaved legs better in that it seems that leg hair only makes hot days hotter. If people shave to "go faster," they probably would see better results from training a little harder.
To answer your question, for my purposes, no shaving of arms required.

Also, on those hot days, all the dirt sticks to your hairs on rides especially when using sunblock, and it is very gross feeling and uncomfortable. Sun block goes on better too.

I started shaving my arms in high school before i started cycling because it was "cool'. Then i liked the way it looked, and then started shaving my legs for cycling. So i shave arms, legs, and chest.

I shaved my arms a few times before I did important TT's and Pursuits. Now I've go long sleeved skinsuit. I might go back to shaving the arms again. Just a cleaner look.

I only do the legs, but once I started, um, I kind of like the feel? Is that weird? Crawling into clean sheets with freshly-shorn legs feels very nice indeed.
My last girlfriend was sort of ambivalent about the idea of shaving itself, but did say that I had "really hot" legs, to which I of course said, "the lack of hair shows off the muscles better!" Don't know how that'd go over on my thin little stick arms.

I shave arms and legs. For some reason after shaving my legs they always feel weaker.. perhaps just mental issue but I never shave legs before a big ride.

I was thinking about shaving my legs. Do you guys know generally how long it takes for the hair to grow back, in case I don't like it?

a few months full re-growth, i haven't shaved the whole leg but long story short somone shaved their initial into my leg and it took a few months till i didn't notice it anymore. People say the hair grows back different but i don't totally believe that, i think it might grow back a bit longer though.
