Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Question to Mavic Ksyrium ES Owners: Switching from Campy to Shimano Freehub

Hi. I have just replaced the freehub of my new Ksyrium ES back wheel from a Campy setup to Shimano setup by installing a new freehub I bought on Ebay. I notice that the Shimano freehub does not came with a silver cover (see pictures below, the one in the left with the yellow sticker is the campy freehub, which as the silver cover on the left side, the picture in the right side is the shimano hub already installed) and the one from the Campy setup does not fit because it has a different diameter. Am I missing something or is that the Shimano setup does not uses this part? By the way, the Mavic dealers maintenance webpage does not shows this piece on their pictures and I beleive the one they show is the Shimano setup.

Thanks,

Francisco
