It might be him supporting collegiate cycling versus regular teams. I'm not sure. It's been a great deal for all the kids without $$$. I'm always glad to see companies help out collegiate cycling.

I've actually talked to a few of your teammates at races and they've been pretty cool. I'll keep an eye out for the aggie sportin' deep carbon Neuvation wheels next time.

None of this makes those Neuvies any less cheesy boys. Pony up the extra cash for Williams wheels, you'll be glad you did.

Neuvation sponsors my team as well, we are just a bunch of amateur bike racers, nothing special. John is great to work with and his wheels are very good and an exceptional value. I have my C50's mounted on my CAAD9 just waiting for some nice weather to break them in.

But nothing to convince me they're any better deals than the Neuvations.
I'm quite happy with my Neuvation R28s and John is a great guy to do business with. I'll double check the finances and, if the books look healthy, pull the trigger on the Neuvation C50s.
I'll take empirical knowledge over the review of someone who compensates with gucci parts.

I'll just never get over the number of people on this site that find time to trash a product for no other reason than its cheaper than the "name brands".
I wouldn't think that ZIPP or HED started out by charging a million dollars for their wheels?
I also think that 90% of it is the fact that 70% of you guys all have either the money for or actual ZIPP or HED wheels and see these deals at neuvation and get your panties all knotted up because you didn't get the deal.
Its so stupid. Its the same argument in road cycling all the time. Buy this because we all bought it. Not because its better...
You'll see in the SAME DAY a post about how a 999 wheelset is obviously better than a 404 for TT however does the cost justify the purchase... (the whole bang for your buck argument) and then see someone popping in here to tell every poor ass college kid that he's a moron for going out and saving $1000? What flipping sense does this make.
Furthermore... Im willing to bet that I'll be seeing a lot of ZIPPs passing neuvations and alot of neuvations passing ZIPPs on the roads this season.
How about this. Do something positive for the sport. Start a kids race. Goto a school to help promote cycling safety and get some kids out there riding.
Instead of trashing everyone every 5 seconds for making a purchase that is wisely within their means. PERPETUATE THE GOSH DAMN SPORT!

fwiw, love neuvations, have two sets myself. but I have no need for such a nice set of tubulars, otherwise they would be on their way to my house.

If you wanna boil it all down at least in ss/fg we argue about style. Not why something is crappier for being cheap.
There are also a plethora of fixed riders using disc wheels. Not to mention track bikes on the street. but no one is flaming a company for having a "cheap" product for a proportionally "cheap" price.

Why I support "cheep stuff"...
1. Neuvation supports my team (Team Army-USAC). I support him.
2. John has excellent customer service. Read his mission statement.
3. If I crack my C50, I won't feel as bad as cracking a Bora/Lew/Mavic/Lightweight.
4. Fiscal responsibility in the real world (ie family guy).
5. allows me to spend the difference on a great pair of cycling shoes that fit.
I never judge a guy/girl on what they ride.

I didn't mention it at the time, but it also made me smile today that one of the guys on this thread bashing the cheaper wheels is unable to ride his Zipps as they are in the shop with a cracked rim.

Does that mean you shouldn't get Neuvations? You should get what you can afford, but most of all, you should shut the F up and ride your bike. Better yet, race your bike, whether you're on Neuvations or Lew Borons. It's the motor.
But Bike Schwag is fun. Especially busting balls about Neuvations, Bikes Direct and other cheap high end bike crap just to get a rise out of all you pathetic weenies. And it never fails either.

I think wheels stir up more debate than any other bike part. Am I correct?

You do save some dough, but the cheese factor with Neuvies is undeniable.

Nice job on perpetuating the roadie myth.....
