PBK are now selling Michelin ProRace 3 Tires

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thanks for the heads up. My PR2's are getting a little worn, and these are only a few bucks more each to replace them.

i wish i did not bulk buy the P2R...i have three P2R tyres - that'll take me about 1.5 years to wear out.

I have these and love them. I have no interest in the 4000s anymore. This is now my tire of choice for anything. Glad PBK carries them so quickly.

I'm waiting for different colours to be stocked. I hope they have an all black version instead if this black/grey version.

The grey is on the center this time instead of the outside. Looks good IMO. Did they ever come out with a all grey Pro Race 2? I dont think they did, so buy now, enjoy now.

well, on one of my bikes, i did close to 4,000km and still had a fair bit of rubber (i.e. no exposed casing/thread). only reason i chucked it out was because of a pretty big cut through the casing that showed the inner tube (and i rode it in that condition for about 1,000km with no puncture before realising that the black thing i saw through the cut was the inner tube). on another bike, i have done about 3,400km and it's probably good for another 2,000km+. last year, my annual mileage was about 12,000km, so three tyres should last me about 1.5 years (i swap front to rear). i was under the impression that these are race tyres with low mileage but they seem to last a long time. perhaps i'm not putting out enough wattage???

nah...i'll probably get the P3R for my main bike and keep the P2Rs for my training/beater bike...or sell them to friends.

Tires don't last as long if you're putting out _more_ not less wattage.

One of the better descriptions of the benefits of these pieces of rubber.

Yeah, they are nice, too bad I flat every 200 miles with these tires.....

Maybe the 3's will treat me better. but....... First I need to buy another 10 speed cassette for my 3rd set of wheels. I'd rather spend 60 bucks and have more shwag than keep changing them out-

My LBS said these are 20 grams lighter than the pro race 2s. They weigh'd 'em.

How many miles are you guys getting out of the 3s?
