Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Now . . . . on with the show!!!

ps: everybody keep a civil tongue in your mouths, I don't feel like getting tossed again.

Pretty much. SBW has always seemed level-headed to me. The fixed gear forum, on the other hand, has not.

Am I the only one that thinks it's pretty low for Tomassini and Anti-Tomassini (whichever is which) hashing out there dispute here? Asking for evidence? Calling each other liars?

I'm never going to buy a frame or bike from either after this show.

Hallo there admin guys - what about this? https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...55#post6300055. if her accusation still hang around, I ask the information I published back here as well. I am willed and I need to clear my name from her slander. Right there, get your popcorn! But it will get cold until the show starts because it is 2.30 am over here and I am up since 6 and the whole day in this circus. I am going to clarify this later, otherwise all guys with the red stars get their money back.

Which is why BF (IB) would probably prefer to not get in the middle nor have any of us making statements that could be used in court, should the supeenee's get to flying.

gorillavelo, I'm in the process of sanitizing the more inflammatory comments and restoring threads.

We aren't going to take sides on this. Give me some time to sort it out. OK?

Good on you - I would never ride a Tommasini even if it was given for free

Yes, neither side is going to be able to provide definitive proof, short of court documents. I suggest that anyone reading the threads about this keep that fact in mind.

That's a pretty random statement. There is no anti-Tommasini, there is just some small bike shop minding their own business, and then someone claiming to represent Tommasini started various threads about how that shop was making fakes. Then the owner of that shop answered the allegations. (I have not said who is right, just how it all started, ok?)

That's why it happened publicly - because the allegations were made publicly.

Let's say a newspaper publishes something slanderous about you, like for example that you have embezzled money while working as a civil servant. If you knew that it's an untrue allegation, what would you do? Let the article stay the way it is, or at least try to remedy your reputation in a similarly public way? How about your very livelihood depended on your reputation in the public eye?

Let's see how you do when there are stacks of reports flying into the mod queue. I stand by the decisions that were made by the moderators. Nothing was done that can't be undone, whereas your post above may come back to haunt you one day.

I'd love to have the following questions answered by RideTommasini and gorillavelo and possibly even a representative from "the factory" in Italy that both users reference. I think that it would clear a lot up.

Just so it's clear, considering the atmosphere surrounding this brand in the last few days, I totally stole this from another forum users (mrrabbit) post

QUESTION #1

In their UNPAINTED and NON-DECALED bare steel finish, were these frames in question built by Tommasini Italy?

[ ] YES
[ ] NO

QUESTION #2

For the frames in question, were they painted by Tommasini Italy?

[ ] YES
[ ] NO

QUESTION #3

For the frames in question, were the head badges made and installed by Tommasini Italy?

[ ] YES
[ ] NO

QUESTION #4

For the frames in question, were the Tommasini decals applied by Tommasini Italy?

[ ] YES
[ ] NO

QUESTION #5

For the frames in question, did Tommasini Italy apply the "Gorilla" label decals?

[ ] YES
[ ] NO

Thanks!

I too would like to see them fill it out...

1. Fill it out and send to a MOD such as Brian...
2. Have Brian examine and review qualifications entered at end.
3. Edit and submit to Brian again.
4. Brian post in their care...
5. Brian instruct eveyrone not to ask further, argue further, or push futher in response to the questionaire- else get banned.

Just read and move on...

Hell even close this thread when done...just to head off the impromtu adhoc "posse" that comes out of the woods.....

...
Not going to happen. Since Tina, in spite of being on the forum won't answer, I called Mike Tommasini, who referred me to Jeff Tommasini, left him a voicemail which was forwarded Bob Tommasini, who emailed Peter Tommasini who faxed my msg to Foo Kan Wei Tommasini. Apparently 'the factory' is in Taiwan!

Didn't even suspect I was riding a Motobecane all this time
