The Snowbird is always a good ride with great support. Last year I did the 42 mile loop with my 8 year old daughter on a Buddy Bike which is an overgrown two up beach cruiser with the aerodynamics of a door. We hung with a group as we went south to the missile base. On the way back the wind was tough and my daughter was not helping much.
I think I’ll take a regular road bike this year as I will have been off the bike for close to two months unless my daughter insists that we ride two up. You definitely want to hang in a group if you can but be careful. Broken bones are no fun and many times you do not know the skill level of the group you may find yourself until it is too late.

I am doing it. A friend did the 60 mile portion last year and wants me to come do the 100 with him. I already signed up yesterday. I did another century with the same club last year around Oct/nov and it was very organized.
I second the advice of being careful with groups of people you don't know. The only time I have been on a crash was in that century I mentioned above. Lots of people that are careless.
