God Bless Daylight Savings Time
Today was the first Tuesday/Thursday evening ride of the year; sun shining, temps in the seventies, breeze blowing in the right direction (half the time), going 25 mph for 4 or 5 miles and then getting dropped like a bad habit after my second pull... it was great. I love being able to ride in the evening! God Bless Daylight Savings Time!

You mean Night of the Living Dead Time.

That's odd, because at 6:30AM on Sunday in Central Park it was Where the F is the Daylight Time. Aka Night of the Living Dead Time.

I hate daylight savings. I'd much rather hurry home from work and have my 90 minute ride then have to wake up to the stars. A 40 minute drive every morning kills me when its dark out.

Bike ≠ Car ≠ Ped.
Daylight Savings Time + 4-hour jet lag + trying to get back to the usual work schedule = teh suck

The way I look at it, it can be darker out from 8-9 AM while I'm in the office, heck if I care. 5 PM - 10 PM on a weekday is MY TIME, and I'd much rather have the sun up during my time than during "the man's" time (8 AM - 4 PM for me, with 4-5 PM being my commute)

Yeah, it's just fabulous. Back to driving to the university in the dark on Monday mornings. Back to inconvenient time differences between here and Australia. Yay. I wish they'd just leave it alone, and NOT in daylight savings time!

huh?
Anyway. The next 2-3 weeks will be kind of annoying, it's too dark in the morning to get in a good ride before work, and it still gets dark too early to get in a good ride after work. In a few weeks it'll be light until 7:45 or so which will give me enough time to do my 20 mile loop after work. Then I'll be stoked Til then, I''ll be in spin class.

I communicate to someone in Australia on a regular basis. With the daylight savings time coming into effect here last weekend I now have to be up past midnight, and when his daylight savings kicks in, I'll have to be up even later.

I got in a quick 25 miles after work, and managed to have time for 4 short climbs. I must say I was very happy realizing spring is on the way and there is much more of this to come... waking up to the dark will be short lived.

I <3 the extra light too. Did a quick 10-ish mile ride up and over and back up and over a local hill. Will I be able to pull off a century by the end of the summer??? We'll see.

You guys could always come checkout north dakota. it'll still be light here at 10pm during the summer.
You can go out after you get off of work at 5 or 6 and still get a full 18 holes of golf in without struggling to see the ball.
Of course... then you'd have to live in North Dakota.

It kills me that a people who hate mornings so much will get together and 'agree' to wake up an hour earlier in the morning so that they can get off work earlier
