Actual bike-related question...wipperman chains and 11 tooth cog?
Not to interrupt everyone's Fed vs. Elite discussion but have a question...
Has anyone used the new Wipperman chains that are 5.9 mm and supposedly compatible with Campy and Shimano (at least according to competetive cyclist)? I have one which I am running with a Record 11-25 cassette, and it skips and slips when it is in the 11 tooth cog and I put any power into it. Yes, the derailleur is adjusted properly, and I never had this problem with the record chain.
I think that the problem is the Connex link, which is slightly larger than the rest of the links, hitting the ring and sort of lifting the chain off the teeth causing it to skip (does that make sense?). Anyone have any experience with this?
I don't want to go back to my perpetually grimy and disgustingly dirty Record chain...

You probably have the connex link upside-down. "Flip it", as it were.

thank you, that is the problem.
Additionally, I am am idiot for the following reasons:
1) I put the link on upside down
2) I could not figure that out myself
3) I did not search before posting
I will now flaggelate myself with a rusty BMX chain for my transgressions. The scars will serve as a reminder not to do this again.
