I hate to say it, but Michael Rogers is a bum compared to Armstrong and Cancellara.
Fast, yes, but if you look at the competition he faced, or lack thereof, his titles are far less impressive.
If Armstrong bothered racing/retaining form after July, and Cancellara any time in the last two years, they'd both give him a good ol' fashion beat down.
Cancellara did it handily in 2006, I believe.

Rogers has beaten Cancellara in the World TT title. You are talking through your blurter as to the quality of the fields. The Worlds TT generally has the same faces roll up every year. But yes, Cancellara has stepped up a level.
Single day TTs and TTs in Tours are not directly comparible. For example, Charlie Mottet was near unbeatable in one off events but would deterioate after two weeks of a Grand Tour. Other examples of riders who were impressive in single day TTs but less so in GT's were Gisiger, Van Hooydonck, Oosterboosh, Boardman.

I guess I was thinking of Botero for some reason. Good rider, but God knows how he won in 2002.
*Zabriskie being 29, but not really getting to Europe until he was...24 or 25?

I think with any type of hill at all and if he decides he wants to, Armstrong wins.
But I have nothing to support this other than I am a fan.

Good question, but both need to race in the same mechanical conditions, same bike, same helmet all the same.
Indurain was a fantastic rider, lemond was an awesome TTist too. Anquetil? we ran doped all the time so why even think on him?
Based in that the racers will have the same bike, same everything... who might be able to win??? Pick any name from any era. I say lemmond might kick ass!
Thanks.

I'd like to see who can take more 'roids: Bonds or Canseco.
We can measure the diameter of each one's head at the end to determine who wins.
