Post pictures of your built up CAAD9's! '08s+Brushed Al finish
I'm getting a new frame for my caad9 and I'm guessing that I can't order the same frame color that I have now since mine is an 07. I just want to see how some of the new '08's look built up since cannondale doesn't show all their frames built up.
Thanks!
Lets see those sweet bikes!

I am not a fan of the 08 color scheme's so much with the little pieces of color. I have a brushed aluminum caad8. If you want pics let me know.

Sorry, maybe I spoke too soon. the bike is not done being built yet.
So I put the wheels on and went out to my garage for an official photo.
Hopefully someone else can post up some pics that would be more helpful. I should be done with mine within the next couple of days though.

The brushed AL is my favorite "color". Wish my CAAD5 was brushed instead of painted.

not mine, but here
Honestly, the white one is the best looking with the new color scheme.
The red/white/black decals on it make it look like ZIPP designed the color scheme.

I'm a little dubious of how good that would look especially because it'd look dirty all the time.
I like the look of the Brushed Al on the 08, but that's the only one I've actually seen pictures of.
My school colors are red and black, and since I'm going to be racing collegiate, I thought it was pretty awesome that I got that bike.
My kit is red, black, and white so the 07 red looks awesome. The '08 black would look cool, and the '08 Al is a pretty neutral color and I really like it thus far.
I haven't seen the 'race red' for '08, but my complaint is the same thing for the Six13's that don't show the carbon weave pattern on them. The bikes look so much better with some carbon effect, same with the CAAD9's that show some Al.
As a side note, I wish I could get a CAAD9 to sport the fit that Bdcheung has. I have long legs and a short torso though, so getting the frame with the correct seat tube would force me to run a 70 or 80mm stem haha.
I'm getting a new frame because the 54cm I have now has way too much drop and kills my lower back. The LBS offered to get me a size up at no cost, so I'm def going for it!

Great idea. I'm going to wait until the end of this season though, don't want to miss out on any cycling while it's in the shop. Another plus: I have some frame damage from a thrown chain which I'm told isn't a concern but with a clearcoat I'd be able to check to see if there are any cracks forming under the paint.

Thanks, I'd never thought of that. I guess it would be a pretty trivial task to bead-blast paint off aluminum. I'd be happy with a bead blasted/clear coat finish. I'd assume they could even do my carbon fork while they're at it. Don't know if it would come out as good (who knows what the carbon looks like under the paint) but I could always have it painted a gloss black or something.

Bdcheung, dig the bike! You raised your saddle, no?

Well, remove the paint from the fork. I don't know if it's possible to take a painted carbon fork and turn it in to a bare clear coated fork. If not I'd probably just go the gloss black route.

Thanks, I dig it too. That's an old pic, the saddle and fit have been changed since then. Bars, too.

Wow, that white is pretty sweet.
I wish I could see all the colors before making my decision.
I really like the white but i'm not going to be putting white tape and saddle on anytime soon...
The white and brushed AL look promising, but I think I might like the brushed look more, though I really want to see the black and the red for this year.

The cannondale website has some models of the CAAD9 in a 'race red' frame or a 'black fade'.
The black fade looks pretty sweet. I think it's between that and the brushed Al for me.
The white looks awesome, but I'm not sure I could pull it off, plus every little spot on it would show. AHH!!!
It's like wearing a white shirt, you're automatically a target for having it.
