How much is this Colnago worth?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How much is this Colnago worth?

I found a Colnago for sale for $1450. Looks like a 2002 model with Campy Record. Everything appears to be in excellent condition with very light use.
Its a 48cm and would be on the small end for me. I usually ride a 49 or a 50cm.
Here is a link for a very big pic.

What do you think its worth?
Thanks is advance.

Buy it for $1450. Price out the record components, even used ones, and you will see that it is a helluva deal.

Very classic ride too. A beautiful rig. That is the kind of machine that would have bike nuts making a mess of their pants! The paint on Colnagos is wonderful!

Cheers~

The eBay-completed-auction valuation method shows a single item sold within the past couple of weeks:

2002 60cm. Different colors. Sold for $2425. I don't know the new price for this bike.

Always check eBay first.

I'd bet that it's priced so low because the size is one of the smallest that Colnago makes. Mid-sized frames always fetch a premium (or smaller/larger sizes take a hit, depending on your optimism).

If you've always wanted a Colnago, wait until you find the right size. In my opinion you shouldn't buy a dream bike that you will always have reservations about, whether the color or size is off. Make sure it really is what you're dreaming of!

If you want it to ride and the frame is not the correct size it is a waste of money.

It looks like aluminum, and if it's not your size it's worthless.

The Campy Record group set is probably worth close to that if you include the wheels. I assume Record hubs.
