Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Descente jersey sizing?

I am looking at the Descente Slipstream and Jetstream jersys at Probikekit and my measurements are between small and medium. Are they cut narrow or more relaxed? I prefer a tighter fitting jersey especially around the chest but not super tight around the belly.

Tapered fit but they run big.

How big are you? There are so many definitions of Small and Medium. I can't wear a Medium Pearl Izumi. It's just enormous. A race-cut Louis Garneau in Medium fits very well. I have a Descente Slipstream in Medium. It is a little looser than the Louis Garneau, but it still fits well. I am 5'7" tall, my chest measures 38" and I weigh 126 lbs, my torso is long and my limbs are short, compared to the general population of 5'7" men.

I wear a large t-shirt. I recently ordered a descente jersey from pbk, size large. It fits snugly - a bit tight in the midsection and a bit loose up top. I have defined pecs and need to lose a bit of winter weight. I'd agree that the jersey is tapered. I like the fit.

I have 41 inch chest and 33 inch waist sizes at 5'10 inch. In my Descente Chevron large size ss jersey its a snug fit around my waist but it's slightly loose around my chest.

It would be nice if they gave measurements. Some of the sellers on eBay give measurements...arm pit to arm pit, and top to bottom. One reason I go there looking. You may even see the jersey in question on there.

The page on PBK where I bought the Decente jersey had measurements.
