Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Which £300/$600 wheelset?

Im after a new wheelset for use on my race bike. £300/$600ish - bearing in mind that UK pricers are generally higher than US ones.

Im about 68kg, the wheels need to be reasonably light and aero - would tend to go more for aero than lightness - im no climber. The wheels need to be reasonably sturdy, as i will train on them occasionally, but ive got a training bike which is my main training rig - they will get used once/twice a week on average.

Need to be shimano and need to be clincher.

I was looking at a set of HED alps on ebay, which seem ideal, but ive not heard anything from the seller, so im resuming my search. Second hand doesn't bother me, but i need them reasonably soon, so it might have to be new unless i come across the right deal.

Any ideas?
