Wouldn't someplace like ScreamingHotMadoneDeals.com be a good place?

I think you're out of luck right now until the demand dies down. Considering your size, you just might have to ask your LBS to make an order for you.
I was in a similar boat last year. I ordered my 62 cm Madone in June and it didn't come in until October. That's with my shop knowing that I would buy the bike the second it came it. I just had to get in line and wait. You shouldn't have to wait nearly as long, but I would expect a delay and as it is a hot bike and in demand right now, probely not a good chance at knocking too much off the price.

I just bought a 5.2 60 yesterday at greenwich cycles in greenwich, ct. they had numerous 2008 madones in stock, some at the very top end. I was psyched as none of the other shops in my area apparently were willing or able to stock any 60 size 2008 madones and orders take 3mo to come in. I'd suggest calling bike shops in high income markets that as they are likely to be the ones to take make the investment in stocking high end bikes in case a big spender happens to come in. As to price, most shops seem to sell at a discount to list even though the bikes are in demand. ie madone 5.2 lists for ~3600 or 3800 but sells for 3299. I think that will be the typical discount of list.

So you paid $3299 for the Onyx Carbon/White 5.2? Did they let you test ride it first? How tall are you? Did you go with performance or pro? I'm only asking all these stupid questions because I was just talking with my LBS the other day regarding the 5.1 and 5.2's. They didn't have any in stock and when they do get some it will probably be only 1 or 2 and almost definitely not a 62cm.
