Glad I bought cadence monitor
I have been riding for fitness and fun for a few years now and thought I was doing good. I routinely ride 30-40 miles. I recently bought a cadence monitor and found that my "normal" pace was only 75 rpm. Having read on here the recommended pace is 90-110 rpm I realized I was coming up short. It's not easy to increase your pace when you have had a rhythm for so long. I now monitor my pace and keep a 90 rpm pace comfortably. I'm still working on building it more. Thanks for the advise and if you have never used a cadence monitor it is a good tool to evaluate yourself.

I agree with this 100%!
Cateye learned me on the frustration of zip tying wires, but it was all worth it in the end when I realized that I was always around 75 rather than the 90-110 that's reccomended.
I almost bought a computer without cadence also (because I wanted wireless/cheap) and I'm sure I would have regretted it soon afterwards.
