What can be tightened in a Campy brifter?
The vibration from the ride makes my left brifter rattle. It sounds similar to a loose washer or something in that range. When I hold my hands over the hoods, the sound goes away. I dont think it involves the clamp from the brifter to the handlebars. When I pull back the shifter from the brake lever it doesn't rattle either, I believe it has to do with the shifter (not the thumb) setup. Is there a screw I can tighten?
Thanks

It's the levers clanging against each other. Mine do it too. Actually one does it more than the other. There are rubber pieces between the levers, but it seems to be more like they are bouncing against the body and each other.
Nothing is loose. It's just a matter of vibration dampening. You must have the cheaper alloy levers as well....you know those carbon ones wouldn't have this problem...

I believe it is my left one as well. If you come up with an easy solution let me know. I might try it.

I've rebuilt my shifter (diagram) with new G springs. If anything in the shifting mechanism was loose enough to rattle, it probably wouldn't shift at all.
There's a youtube video for disassembly and reassembly. It was difficult the first time I tried it.
If you pull the shift lever sideways or toward the bar, does it spring back to it's usual position behind the shift lever? If not, one of the springs might be broken.
What about the peg at the top of the shift lever that you slide over to release the brakes? Is it loose?
Otherwise, try wrapping a rubber band around the shift lever where it would hit the brake lever and see if it helps.
