Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yippie, yet another bike purchase question

Looking at buying the LeMond Chambery its the 07 model. The thing is, I'd have to pull the trigger on it tomorrow. Anyone have any opinions on this one? Is 1500 too much? Or should I just have the fight about spending 1500 on a bike with my better (and probably more sensible) half now?

Any input would be appreciated, also counter suggestions if this isn't a good call would be great.

Thanks
