Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Diadora shoe sizing questions......

Looking at these shoes on Sierra Trading Post. Anybody have these, how do you like them? Also how is the fit and sizing compared to Pearl Izumi? No LBS here carries them so I can't try them on. Thanks.

Also how are Northwave shoes?

I have several pairs of Diadoras. (have never worn PIs)
I seem to order one METRIC size larger than I wear and they seem a little wide.

diadoras ... 43
sidis ... 41.5 (Just got the new Sidi Ergo Bettini's https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=25898 )

I have the Diadora Pro Racer carbon soles. I like their buckle/strap system. I think if you try nashbar, performance ect, you'll find better deals than that and coupons.

Agreed with KirkeIsWaiting. You may wish to go with a size or a half size a little bit larger. Unfortunately, you just missed Nashbar's sale on shoes a few weeks ago; but if you like the colors and whatnot, the reduced price seems like a reasonable deal.

You may also wish to consider a pair of Cannondales since they are just rebranded Diadoras. I own a pair of Cannondale RP2000 (no tongue) and RP2100 (with tongue). I believe with the RP2000 style design, the tighter fit has to do with the fact there's no tongue and a more pointed toe. Just as a reference, I found the RP2100 to be closer to the fit of Sidi Dominator Lorica 5. For me, the RP2000 is a half size smaller than the RP2100.
