Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pegoretti Marcelo w/Brooks B17N Imperial

I finally got my Marcelo out of the shop after waiting for a new seatpost and chain. So, without further delay, I present my orange Marcelo:

A couple of things that I will be doing:
  • Change the tires for GP 4000 S
  • Get the bike refitted
  • Cut the steerer tube afte rthe fitting

Looks great, not normally a fan of orange bikes, but yours is a beauty, and a Pegoretti no less

Good to see more orange bikes, and especially a Pegoretti.

How's it ride?

The ride is quite nice! I feel that it's more comfortable than the Orca. The Marcelo just smooths out the road well!

So you've made peace with your previous misgivings?

Oh, indeed! The color and elegantly placed decals are growing on me. Plus, this bike accelerates like nobodies business and loves hills. Now I just need to work on the engine.

Saddle to bar drop for type of bike and saddle selection...handful of seat post, overall proportion of the bike.
