Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

But, it is a good looking garage door.

Generally the scammers do not want PayPal.

Might be a guy who wants to unload his bike (for gas money). I wouldn't take a return either, person to person.

Paypal is a safer method than Western Union or personal checks.

Doesn't smell like a scam. Best to ask questions, like "Why are you selling it?" Etc.

I'd guess the auction is for real. That Fuji is not exactly the sexiest bike out there to be scamming people on. Also, whoever posted the description seems to know what they're talking about, listing custom upgrades, not just Fuji catalog cut-and-paste. In spite of other warning signs, I'd say this auction is legit.

Did you pursue this bike?

I had a pang of serious jealousy this weekend when I met a guy through a friend who bought an early all cro-mo Bianchi Volpe with down-tube shifters from Craig's for $200.... And his other bike is a Look 595... All his Volpe needed was a bar-end shifter up-grade... which only cost 70 bucks to make a perfect bike.

There's no justice in life is there? When will my Craig's ship come in? Er Bike, I mean. The all-ultegra Orbea Lobular wasn't for me at 800... Too racy for this Fred.
