Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Advice on Flashpoint 60s or Neuvation wheels

Looking for an aero clincher for my front wheel (I race with a PowerTap in the rear). Wanted to see if anyone had experience (good or bad) with the Flashpoint 60s or the Neuvation C48c

don't leave out the Mavic Cosmic Carbone. Same price point, weight, aero.....etc as you other choices. The Mavics have a very proven track record. Worth a look

Hed Jets are a nice wheel as well. I am currently looking at some Reynolds FCC sets, but I dont think they sell individual wheels.

I wouldn't recommend you to ride with just an aero front wheel-- the braking will be drastically different.

Why would the braking be drastically different for an aero wheel??

the feeling of a box clincher braking and aero is different.. not to mention that the control of both would be different as the front's impact will be heavily felt-- also, if you have an aero rear, it helps serve as a tail rudder for descents, keeps you more stable. Try it out and let us know.

Ummmm......I have used my Carbone on the front and my PT on the rear with no unusual feelings.....
I have used my box section ES on the front with my PT on the rear with no unusual feelings.....

I could see mixing a carbon braking surface and a aluminum braking surface not being a great idea though.....
