Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pink eye or conjunctivitis is usually caused by viral and bacterial infections. Sound like your suffering from conjunctivitis from eye trauma.

You may have scratched something. I suggest a doctor.

I'd take that eye to urgent care STAT... the last thing you need is an eye infection!

Yes. Go see a doctor.

It might be a scratch, it might be nothing. But essentially, no one here is qualified to make anything resembling a proper medical diagnosis.

I injured my eye with my own finger (long story)... otherwise, pretty much all you can do is NOT rub and wait for it to heal. Its going to feel like sand is in there for awhile... rinse with saline.

You could get a cool pirate patch in the mean time.

It,s mother natures mating season this time of year. Most likely you recieved an excited animal discharge into your eye.Thankfully animals do not carry STD,s so a trip to the LA Free Clinic is not needed.
Yes,in a way you were violated but due to your casual attitude of no sun/safety glasses the critter took its best shot.
Next time squirt it out with your water bottle.

When I was in school, any time there was an outbreak of "pink eye", a bunch of kids would put hair spray in their eyes so they could go home from school.

Ah, the good ol' days...
