Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

just be sure to keep the pace up.
some dude with an extremely long brake cable passed me on the hill, but he dropped his pace once he did.

It's entertaining to see people try too hard to stay ahead of you.

On my rainy 3 mile commute today, I dropped a bus. On my 35 lb MTB.

Work on the engine.

If Lance Armstrong dropped me on a 25lb bike..... Guess what? I wouldn't care! Haven't we established this? It's the engine!

Here is a clue.

The quality of the bike has no correlation with the riders power output or level of conditioning.

It only correlates with how successful he has been in his education and how successful he has been in his working life.

If you are riding a friggin tank, maybe it is time to reevaluate some of these things in your life.
