Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Giordana Laser Bib Shorts - anyone own these? What size? Reviews?

I've come across a few different sizing charts for Giordana shorts and they're all conflicting.

I'm 6'3", 175lbs, 33" waist.

What size do I get? Any personal reviews on these?

I have a pair and they are okay. The material is VERY compressive. Sizing is a bit wacky. I'm 6'1 and 180 and the large was entirely too small. The XL fits properly and gave me enough length in the bib straps.
Sugoi RS Flex bibs are the best I've worn in the last few years.

They're OK, but only OK. Waaaay overpriced for what you get. Honestly, I like the team Hincapie and Champ Sys shorts far better, and they're less than 1/3 the price.

Really? I have some Champ Sys bib shorts and I think they're a little on the cheap side (quality) but they were also cheap price wise. If you're liking the Champ Sys better then the Giordana must really suck.

Thanks, I'll check out the Sugoi.

I've had two pair of Champ Sys bibs. Although there is no mention of two different styles on their website, I have found my latest pair, tagged as Professional, very comforatable. Last year, the bibs we had as part of our team kit, were garbage.

The fit on my latest bibs is much better, higher quality material, and the pad is slightly larger and thicker.

Yeah, the new (this year's) Champ-Sys shorts are a lot better, though I've never owned any of the old stuff. Hincapie's still my favorite though.

On an unrelated note.... goaliedb, you're on my team haha.

I tried a pair and found the quality to be okay...Didn't fit me very well. If you like 'em, you'll probably be size L.
