Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ahh crap. 30 inch inseam.

I was still asleep while typing it. But a good catch, Patriot!

Don't panic or worry about the consensus opinion. The consensus opinion is based on peoples perception of what the differences between a 52 cm frame and a 54 cm frame SHOULD be rather than what the real differences really are in that particular model. The 54 cm frame is NOT 2 cm bigger than the 52. Even if you ignore the reach and stack measurements its only 1 cm bigger at best but when you do consider reach and stack which are the measurements that really make sense (and what an expert wants to compare) then the 54 cm frame is only 2 mm longer (big whoop) and 8 mm taller which will reduce the seat to handlebar drop which will make it feel smaller actually.

Now if you were measured up for a custom frame then the bike they would recommend may be different again but if you had already decided that you wanted a Modone then I don't see a problem with the 54 cm Modone WSD. The nominal seat tube size isn't really that important and doesn't really give you a good guide between sizes. Hence my preference for reach and stack.

Regards, Anthony
