Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

they've been selling klein in japan only.

they are not available on trek's ibd site, so i'm very curious to see what exactly your lbs is getting in.

Trek says says Klien has it's own brand identity. What would that be in 2009? AL has been it's identity from 1975? to 2006. How can they package Al for 2009?

Personally, I don't care what they come out with. My '04 Aura X runs circles around most of the bling bombers on the LBS showroom floor nowadays.

Hip....CyLowe mentioned this thread on our ride tonight. Had to chime in. Klien is just a brand name that Trek bought.

There is nothing special coming other than Trek attemping to save/repackage the time and money they spent bringing LeMond frames into the carbon era.

The only thing to hope for is that maybe LeMond had a small, tiny bit of input rendering the frames a tiny notch above standard Trek fare.

Take the soon to be defunct LeMond carbon line. Add in some nice Scandium rigs and the older steel and Ti/steel lines, and then bring back the paint jobs. They'll sell. Re-badged? T.V.'s, cars, premium vodka, clothing, food, gasoline are all re-badged. It's how it is. I'll get over it if the product is right. In any case, you'd have to freakin' blind and stupid to think some of their paint jobs weren't truly remarkable.

I have a pre-Trek Klein that I LOVE!

Having said that, I'm sure that the Kleins produced under the Trek name are also very sweet.

I was thinking Ti myself. Brink back the spline Ti Tete de Course, paint the heck out of it and, and ..., and what?, and give the first one to Rad! It's a harmonic convergence.

No 09 Kleins yet...that I know of. He's probably getting in some 08's. New Kleins are "rumored" to be out in August.

That's their main market but a handful of U.S. shops have carried them (less than 10). Apparently you had to order a fairly huge stock to get them in the U.S. market.
