General fitting question
I know fitment is a delicate issue but wanted to ask a general question. My build is a bit unusual, in that I have short legs and a long torso. I am 6'3" and have a 32" inseam. I seem to need about a 58cm frame, but what about the long top half of me? I commute and would like to do road trips in the future and need to be comfortable. a trip to a shop to get properly fitted would be good and perhaps a new stem and putting the seat back as far as is practical. I have a suteki beater bike now and would like to buy, build a touring/commuting bike within a year or so. What am I overlooking, if anything??

Don't adjust saddle setback to adjust reach. If you need to adjust reach, do it with the stem position, not the saddle position.

a set back seat post combined with a longer stem I think would help with your reach to the bars.
