Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

where did my addiction go

Ever since my second bike was completed, I have lost my addiction of checking ebay, WW, and BF "for sale" sections.

I want it back. I want to need TT bars, a rear wheel cover, a ritchey wcs carbon stem, and a fizik arione. But for some reason just riding is enough for now.

i had to stop myself from browsing ebay and slowtwitch for race wheels. i finished building this bike, but i tend to get carried away and if i dont make a consious effort to stop the buying, ill end up with way more stuff thats why more expensive then i origionally planned.

I have the same problem. I can't stay off of ebay and craigslist. I am on there so much and there is slim to no chance of me actually pulling the trigger on anything. A guy can dream, right?

One must buy them to ride them. And there are a whole lot of bikes that need riding.

See my post about "ADD."
I kind of burned-out on bike porn, shopping, riding, etc., but the upside of ADD is, that the burnout is short-lived.
Do some miles, take some ibuprofen, and post us in the morning. Doctor's orders!

I always like looking for bling that's vintage or just no longer made. Alloy Record cranks, deep profile silver Shamals, mint Colnago Mexico Oro frames, etc. Recently I bought a beautiful pair of Nuovo Record quill pedals that I used for the NYC 5Boro Bike Tour (with Galli alloy toe clips and Christophe straps).
