Shimano hubs/alex r400 vs. Xero Xr1
Given the choice would you rather have Shimano hubs(105 or ultegra) laced to Alex R400 rims or Xero XR1 wheels.
Weight: Shimano hub/r400 = 1750ish whereas the Xeros = 1535 grams
Aerodynamics: r400 are 21mm depth whereas xeros are 30mm deep
Durability: hands down to the shimano/r400 I would think
Price: Xeros are $75 more
I'm 135 pounds. I am going to be using these on nice weather easy rides and group rides. Thanks

It won't make a difference if neither of those wheelsts are handbuilt. Especially if none of them will ever see a mechanic to be retensioned and trued before it goes on your bike.
