Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Selle Italia Flite Alternative?

Looking for a new saddle to replace a worn SLR XP. Big fan of the classic Flite and the XP, the problem is apparently the shape of the new flite is different from the classic (according to posts on weightweenies) and the XP's don't seem to hold up (leather ripping on the sides). The SSM Concor has been suggested as a possible alternative, but what else is there similar in shape and fit to the old flite that's more durable than the current SLRs.

Suggestions?

Fizik Arione?

FWIW, the new Flite is, in fact, the same shape. They just lopped of the corners in the back. You can still find old style Flites on Ebay...brand new...

Yeah I may go the ebay route but i've also spent a couple of days on an Arione...it was okay but not great, certainly not the same level of comfort as the flite.

Thanks again,
