Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cinelli- Did I Get a Deal?

So I just bought a 2003 Cinelli Unica with full ultegra, a mavic kyserium front wheel and A class rear wheel. It came with a set of aero bars, bar end shifters, and brak levers, as well as the stock drop bars and ultegra sti shifters. I paid $550 shipped. What I want to know is, did I get a deal, pay too much, or pay just about the right amount. Thanks in advance. I'll post some pics when it's delivered.

Hahaha, thanks for the confirmation everyone. Here are a few pictures of the bike that were sent to me pre-sale. I'll update once it gets here.
The tri bars will be removed and drops put on.

Ok the crank looks like a 9 spd octalink. Haven't been made for a few years so you may need some new chainrings and chain and cassette if it has a lot of miles. While you are at it you will probably need some new brakes pads, only $10 per wheel when on sale at performance. That 9 speed ultegra stuff is good and solid, still works great on my 5 year rain bike.

Enjoy the bike...Cinelli is proud brand that goes back eons, even before Lance was in diapers back in Richardson.

Buy bikes so you can ride, not ride so you can own 13.5834 pound wonder bikes that weighs less than TDF race bike.

Good to know. Thanks for all the information. I'll definitely have to check it all out when it arrives and make the proper adjustments.
