Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

bike carrier rental?

I'm curious about possibilities for renting a bike carrier, rather than buying. I'm taking a trip, riding with family. They have a roof rack, but no bike carrier and mounts.

Anybody know of sources/paths for renting that? I'd really hate to (and can't afford to) buy something for one trip. And I'd really like to have my bike for the beautiful countryside we're heading for.

But be sure to ask if there is room on the rack for ur bike, it may already be spoken for.

I'm an REI member, and checked it out. The ones here don't rent bike carrier stuff.

The roof rack is available. I checked awhile back. That was my first question to my brother. Thanks for the reminder.
