HELP with TT bars

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Do your handlebars get larger as they approach the stem clamp point? If so, you can likely run them right up against the sides of your stem and it'll work, that's what I did.

no they do not. also, the bars are not two separate pieces, they are one piece which branches off into two at the end.

Throwing aerobars on your bike 2 days before a race is a bad idea.

yeah..sorry a bit smart assed.. a coke can shim was a common solution to bars and seat posts in the 80's that were a couple of mm wrong. They do make TT bars for 26mm bars.. but the ones you got are probable for 31.8 .. IMHO there is no way to get from here to there

a full TT bike would save you about 1/10 of a sec on a TT that long.. just hammer it out in the drops, not even worth the effort.

I wouldn't even worry about them for a TT that short if you're not used to them already.
