The compact handlebars look like they will work well with me. Due to neck injury being real low in the drops is an issue. The ergo bars do not give sufficient hold without being tucked deep into them. I have been using a 3T Forgie for quite a while now. I am looking at the FSA Carbon compact bars: K-Wing or K-Force. (the only difference I see is that the K-wing has the flat top)

Is anyone willing to share experience on either of these bars? Is there an Easton that is carbon and compact? As always - it is great to read/share with others of like mind (well, at least those that enjoy our sport).

Just fwiw - the Easton web site has full specs and diagrams of their bars. I believe FSA and Bontrager do as well so you should be able to compare them

I have a set of aluminum Deda 215 classic curve, shallow (same as Newton's, but with 26.0 clamp). I'm very happy after changing from full size anatomic bars (Deda piega). Much more comfortable in the drops with a change from, I think, 145mm to 135 mm drop. Different, but not better on the hoods. My daughter has Bontrager FIT VR which are an even more compact bar (120 mm drop?) and they are nice - but she doesn't really have anything to compare. They have a flatter transition to hoods than my Deda's, but the Deda's give a lower "middle height" position while on the hoods which I like.
