Bibs: Voler or Cannondale Domestique

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bibs: Voler or Cannondale Domestique

Which one? On sale at different locations for $69, which brings them to the same price as my current mainstay, the Sugoi Pulsar. Speaking of which, are either of those better than the Sugoi Pulsar? The "regular" price would suggest, but I know that's not always the case.

Input appreciated before I order. Maybe I'll just do one of each, and call it good!

I have not used the Sugoi or Cannondale shorts, so I can not comment on them.

However, I have used the Voler bib shorts with logos from various brands (Fuji and Hammer Nutrition). The ones from Hammer use Voler's top of the line chamois, and they're priced pretty nicely ($39.95 for regular shorts, $49.95 for bibs, plus shipping).

If you're interested in trying the Hammer / Voler shorts, send me a Private Message and I can give you a referral code for a discount off your first order from Hammer.

I'm getting the Domestique bibs mainly because I like the Domestique shorts I already have (which I also like better than a pair of Descente bibs I have, at least how they fit below the waist). Maybe I should get a pair of the Voler bibs as well just to see how they are.

I've got the Domestique bibs and the fabric is the compression type and very thin. It's something to bear in mind if you don't want your shorts to look painted on.

How do you get a referral code? I ordered two pairs of bibs and I just ordered some Heed. They gave me a client number, but that's all.

I've never tried the Domestique shorts, but I have a pair of Cannondale Surpass bibs. I prefer Voler.
