I've been using the BG gels for over a year with no problems. I had a pair of pearl gels that fell apart within 3 months so I guess I'm not the easiest person on gloves. I have put them in the washing maching with no problems either. The backs are soft and absorbent enough for long hot rides or snot filled cold rides. If they fall apart eventually I will get another pair.

Sports are pretty nice. They also outlasted my Pearl Izumi Gel Lite (which lasted 6 months), and just recently developed a very small hole (seam coming undone) after 1 1/2 years as my main pair.

I hate gel gloves. FWIW, I just got the Specialized Pro gloves to replace my Pearl Izumi White Line gloves, and have been happy with them so far, except that they are hard to get off.

just got me some Pros too. only 30 miles with them, but i like. they are hard to get off, but maybe i just dont have my technique down yet. they do have some gel padding, but not like their gel line. they seem a bit over the top with the padding. later.

I've had a pair of the Sport gloves for a little over two years and they are going strong. They get tossed in the washer once every couple of weeks. There are no seams coming loose but they are (finally) starting to get a little thin in the palm area. 1000% recommended

I have had the Pearl Izumi gel gloves for 2 years prior to my BG gel gloves. Hands got numb pretty much all the time with the PI's. I think that the ergonomic placement of the gel inserts are better for me. You will not be sorry for buying these.

+1 for Pro.
I think the elastic stretches out easily, so mine have gotten kind of loose after about a year (compared to the older style Pro gloves that are less padded and very hard to get off). I'm thinking of moving to gel ones for the velcro closure, but I prefer the padding in the Pros to the gels.
