Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

So, any feedback if that worked or if the brake pads lasted the stage? haha. Good stuff.

Well, it'd be hard to do that to a set of Zipps, wouldn't it?

That's kind of an interesting idea. I wonder how well it works.

Zipps are actually good. I wouldn't mess around with something that works.

Yeah, but how is the braking performance in the rain? (Serious question; I can't even afford to be be in the same room with more than one Zipp wheel)

The braking surface that Zipps have is exceptional.

When combined with their pads, it's about as close to having an aluminum wheel as you can get. Although it sometimes feels a little but uneven when you are clamping hard.
