Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

So, I need a new helmet. Needs to be nice and light, well ventilated and of course look cool.

Im considering:

Giro Atmos
Specialized S-works 2D
Bell Sweep R

Any ideas/suggestions or are there any others that you guys reccommend?

Ta very much

These all fit a little differently. Try them on and buy the one that fits you the best.

i had the atmos. used it for 6000 miles last summer. by the end of the summer it was held together by screws and double sided tape. Now I have been using the Bell Sweep and find it more comfy and looks like it will hold up much better. And i believe it is less expensive.

You can't go wrong with any of them---try them all on and pick the one that fits the best.

+1 Las Squalo. Fantastic helmet.

also +1 to Catlike Whisper or Kompact, if you can get a hold of one.

I really like the look of the Specialized 2D. I think it's one of the best looking helmets out there.

Giro Ionos.

the best they have ever made.
it is so ventilated that it even comes with a skull cap so you don't get cold.
silver thread, antimicrobial, alot of the pros on the tour are wearing them.

so cool looking

Personally, the Sweep R just looks the best.

Especially in white. Or yellow.
