U can get campagnolo with carbon cranks and titanium Derr... for a lot less than that (900 dols less), where is the bargain? For sure campy 11 won't be more than 2000 dols.
Campagnolo for some people is over priced but when you have a grouppo where every single component can be rebuilt completely in case of an accident i doubt we are talking about over pricing at all, I call that an advantage. The shimano cranks are nice i have to give you that. Besides that... i ask again, where is the bargain?
Thanks.

+1. Although I think Force is a bit more where the sweet spot is in terms of price to weight/performance, SRAM has definitely come on strong. My next ride will be Force-equipped.

Hmmm what are the chances we'll be able to get 7800 stuff marked down soon? Does Shimano plan to keep producing 7800 components? I've got 7700 now, but I'm not sure how long the core stuff is going to last. I'm be told some of the 9sp stuff is hard to find in stock.

Not for a while-- DA 7900 is still a pretty picture on the internet for a while. ETA at competitive cyclist is October 08...
