Best full carbon aero wheelset (under $1500)?
I was looking at a $1100 Spinergy FCC but not a lot of info/reviews on these.
Should I stick to Zipps or are there any other options out there?

Anyone familiar with Flashpoint FP60s. Made by Zipp, About $1300MSRP. Only 1 review I can find.(basically said they were fast,but heavy) I think it was on Competitive Cyclist.

Try the neuvation carbons. you can get the 07's real cheap. Neuvations usually get a 50/50 response on this forum. I ride some regular wheels and love them, and have a friend who rides the tubular carbon hoops and swears by them.
Way cheaper than name brand.

With carbon wheels you get what you pay for. If you go with a clincher I would recommend a wheel with an alloy breaking surface.....think Zipp 404 clinchers. They are more durable, can be used as an everyday wheel, and breaking is better especially when wet.
With Flashpoints you do not get a wide selection of rim depth the hubs are not as nice and they are heavy. Reynolds Assaults are ok....cheaper hub and breaking surface is carbon.
Neuvation…………I have never used them but it seems that their customer service is excellent from friends that have them.
If you want a tubular.....well then most are about the same. The hub and rim depth is what you need to look at.

FSA RD-488 is a great wheel. You can get them w/ Ceramic Bearings for under $1500, if I am not mistaken. 50mm section, and these things are practically indestructible. I actually commute on them year round.

I have a 25 mile ride to work, so it makes no sense to ride to work on a commuter, then ride home 25 miles, pick up the "nice" bike, and head out for more training. So, I just use one bike for everything.

full carbon or carbon/AL?
I'm thinking getting the clinchers (Williams and Neuvation offer pretty good deals)
If I just want this wheelset for triathlons/TTs, is it OK full carbon or you would still suggest to get the one with AL brake surface?
Another Q:
Most of the full carbon sets require special braking pads... Can I still use these "special" braking pads with my alu training wheels or I would have to switch wheels/pads every time (before/after race) ?

As for switching brake pads, yes. The pads you run on the AL wheels may have shavings of metal in them... apply to carbon, say goodbye to your investment. You can either pick up a set of shoes for each brake and have them ready to swap... or just swap out the pads themselves. Your call.
